# Manage your plan and billing

> Plans are managed from Settings. The Plans section lists the Monitors plans and Market Intelligence, Manage Subscription opens the billing portal for the card, invoices and cancellation, and the Usage section shows how much of each limit you are using. Monitors is priced by the number of events you can watch, Market Intelligence by the seat, and the API by credits. A past-due payment blocks adding monitors and users until it is resolved.

## Before you start

- An Eventory account. Billing is per workspace, so the owner's card covers the whole team.

## Steps

### 1. Open Settings and find Plans

Open Settings from the sidebar. The Plans section shows the Monitors plans side by side, with the number of events and the channels each includes, and a separate card for Market Intelligence.

The same plans are on the public [Monitors plans](https://eventory.ai/get-monitors) page with the current prices. Choosing one from Settings takes you to checkout with your workspace already attached.

### 2. Upgrade, downgrade or change the plan

Pick the plan you want and confirm. Changes take effect on the subscription immediately; the amount is prorated for the rest of the billing period.

Manage Subscription opens the billing portal, where the card, the invoices and cancellation live. Cancelling stops the plan at the end of the period, and the monitors stay on the Watchlist until then.

### 3. Read the Usage section

Usage lists every limit on the account with how much of it you are using: Monitor events, Team users, Tracker events for Market Intelligence, Successful lookups for the extension's live panel, and API credits.

It is the page to check before an on-sale, not after: a Watchlist at its limit refuses the next monitor with a dialog, and you do not want to meet that dialog with the event in front of you.

- Monitor events: monitors on the Watchlist against the plan's events.
- Team users: members against the plan's seats.
- Tracker events: Trackers against the Market Intelligence limit.
- Successful lookups: live availability lookups in the extension.
- API credits: credits used in the billing period.

### 4. Add events when you hit the limit

When the Watchlist reaches the plan's event count, adding one more opens a dialog with the options: move to a bigger plan, or add extra events to the current one. Extra events are billed per event on top of the plan.

Deleting past events is the free alternative. Filter the Watchlist by Event date and delete what is over; each deleted row frees one event.

### 5. Fix a past-due payment

If a payment fails, the Watchlist and Users pages show Payment Past Due and adding monitors or users is blocked. Existing monitors keep running during the retry window, but nothing new can be added.

Open Manage Subscription, update the card, and the block lifts as soon as the retry succeeds. Do not start a second subscription from the Plans page while one is past due: fixing the card is the right move.

**Note:** A workspace shows Subscription Inactive, rather than Past Due, when there is no active plan at all. That is the state after a cancellation runs out.

## What each product is priced on

Three products, three units. Knowing which one you are buying avoids most billing surprises.

- Monitors: by events on the Watchlist. Several filter sets on one event are still one event.
- Market Intelligence: by seat. A seat is assigned to a person on the Users page; the subscription quantity follows the assigned seats.
- API: by credits, with a plan allowance per period and a spend limit you set yourself.

## Trials

A new workspace can start Monitors on a trial when one is offered; the plan page says so when it is. The trial runs with the plan's full event count and converts to the paid plan at the end unless cancelled from the billing portal.

An API plan can be added during a Monitors trial. It is billed on its own subscription, so it does not depend on the trial converting.

## Who can change billing

The workspace owner. Team members share the monitors, the alerts and the data, but plan changes and the billing portal belong to the account that created the workspace.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do extra events renew every month?

Yes. They are part of the subscription until you remove them, which you can do from the same limit dialog or the billing portal.

### Can I pay yearly?

The plan page shows the billing options currently offered; pick the interval at checkout.

### What happens to my monitors if I cancel?

They keep running until the end of the paid period, then alerts stop. The rows stay on the Watchlist, so resubscribing brings them back without re-adding.

### I was upgraded but my card was declined. What now?

Fix the card in Manage Subscription. Until the retry succeeds the workspace is past due and new monitors are blocked.

## Next steps

- [Get started with Eventory](https://eventory.ai/docs/guides/getting-started): Set up Eventory from scratch: sign in, add your first monitor to an event, choose where alerts arrive, and check that the first notification lands.
- [Add team members and assign seats](https://eventory.ai/docs/guides/team-members-and-seats): Add a colleague to your Eventory workspace from the Users page, what they can see, how Market Intelligence seats are given and taken back, and what a pending invitation means.
- [Find and manage your monitors](https://eventory.ai/docs/guides/manage-your-watchlist): Work a Watchlist of hundreds of monitors: search and filter the table, sort it, mute or pause rows, edit many at once and delete what is finished.
- [Choose between Monitors and Market Intelligence](https://eventory.ai/docs/guides/monitors-or-market-intelligence): Monitors alerts you when tickets change on a ticketing site. Market Intelligence shows you the whole market. What each one does, and which one answers your question.
